A 5-year-old boy died in the hospital after being struck by a car in a Colorado Springs parking lot. The pedestrian accident in Colorado Springs was reported around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday near 8th Street just north of Cheyenne Boulevard. This area is on the southwest side of the city.
An officer at the scene reported that the boy suffered very serious injuries, and the driver remained onsite.
The crash team in Colorado Springs is investigating the accident, and they do not suspect that the driver was impaired.
