Lead Trial Lawyer
Sean Smith believes all people deserve a zealous advocate when they are injured in an accident that is caused by someone else. As a lead trial lawyer for Zinda Law Group — a nationwide personal injury law firm — Sean works in our Denver office. Sean uses his prior experience working in the insurance industry to help his clients through the difficulties of dealing with an accident. Sean’s attention to detail, compassion, and determination make him an attorney you want fighting for your case.
Raised in West Virginia, Sean received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University in 2000. Sean went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law all while working at a large national insurance company.
After graduating law school, Sean began his career in law as an Associate working for a large Colorado based insurance defense firm. Prior to joining Zinda, Sean was a Partner in a national insurance defense firm representing large international insurance companies, national trucking companies, and all manner of defendants. As a former insurance adjustor and insurance defense attorney, Sean has a unique insight into the personal injury claims process and uses his experience to think of the most efficient ways to get the best outcomes for his clients.
Sean is admitted to the Colorado State Bar, United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
For each and every one of Sean’s clients, Sean strives to make sure the insurance company sees them as a person, and not just another claim number. With this in mind, Sean’s clients have found a sense of security in the knowledge that he has their best interests at heart every step of the way.
Outside of the office, Sean enjoys spending time with his family. Typically, when not in the office, Sean can be found on athletic fields across the state enjoying his time watching his three children compete in their athletic endeavors.
