Should I talk to the at-fault driver’s insurance company after a car accident?

You should never speak to the at-fault driver’s insurance company after a wreck before speaking with an attorney.  Insurance companies typically request recorded statements of the parties involved in a wreck.  Those recorded statements can be used against you in litigation, so it preferable to limit the number of official statements you give.  An attorney can advise you on what information to provide and what information should avoid providing.
