How long will my case take?

When our personal injury attorneys first meet with clients, in addition to knowing what the process consists of, they also want to know how long it will last.

One of the disadvantages of bringing a claim is that you only have one opportunity to settle your case. In other words, a responsible party won’t pay you a little bit now, and more later. That, in effect, means that until you receive a fair settlement offer (if at all), it’s impossible to settle your case and would therefore take more time.

In order to make sure that we push your case as quickly as possible, the first thing our personal injury lawyers do is conduct a complete investigation in order to leave no stone unturned. Performing a full investigation allows our attorneys to lay all of the facts in front of the insurance company right away, and gives us leverage by being able to file a lawsuit quickly if they refuse to fairly compensate our clients.

If our attorneys are able to settle the case without having to file a lawsuit, then the time frame for a claim is likely a few short months. However, our attorneys are prepared to take every case to a jury if necessary. While our attorneys attempt to get a trial date in front of your peers as quickly as possible when the insurance company refuses to settle the case fairly, going to trial typically takes 6-9 months after the date you file the lawsuit.

If you have any questions about how long your particular case may take, it will always depend on your particular facts and circumstances. Please call a Zinda Law Group personal injury attorney for more information and a free consultation.
