At approximately 6:15 Monday morning, Aurora Police authorities responded to a head-on collision on I-225. According to FOX31Denver, the wrong-way driver, who has not yet been identified, traveled southbound in northbound lanes when they sideswiped a Chevrolet Silverado and before colliding head-on with a Mazda SUV. The Silverado driver is uninjured, but the Mazda driver had life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.
The wrong-way driver has yet to be identified but was confirmed dead at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate this tragic incident and its cause.
