Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against University

Although she lost her life in September 2009, it has taken several years for the family of a young woman to file a wrongful death lawsuit against a well-known university.

The 24-year-old woman had been enrolled as a graduate student at the college when she was brutally killed by an employee of the school. The young man, also 24 years old, worked as a lab technician in the same lab where the victim did her experiments. After being reported missing for several days, the body of the young woman was finally found in the wall of the very lab building she had spent hours working in.

After reviewing the details of her death, the family's legal team built a case around the premise that the school allowed violence to occur against female students and was negligent. Since the school failed to ensure safe working and studying conditions on campus, the family now hopes to get justice for the wrongful death of their loved one.
