Last Saturday, it is alleged that Noel Romero, 31, was involved in a DUI accident for which he will also be charged with hit and run. The  car accident involved three vehicles. The second car that was involved had two children, ages 1 and 3, who were ejected from the car along with the other passenger. The 1 year old died, the  and the 3 year old was released from the hospital. The driver of the third vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

He was pulled over by police a few blocks from the site of the accident because he was driving with a flat tire. He was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. He may also face a wrongful death suit from the family of the toddler who was killed. The family of the 3 year old who was injured may also choose to file a suit. Drinking and driving is considered to be criminally negligent and if found guilty, it will be evidence against him in the civil trial.
