San Antonio Military Base may be the Home of Various Sex Scandals
Sgt. Luis Walker at the San Antonio military base was known for being slightly flirtatious when working with the women he trained at the Air Force base. Yet new allegations are showing the Air Force base may have been the home of various sex scandals as well, including rapes. Walker, along with 11 other instructors at the base is being investigated in the sex scandal that has radically upset the giant military training center. A spokesman for the base says that they haven’t seen any cases of this magnitude in a long while.
According to the Dallas News, Walker faces the most serious charges in the case, with 28 counts sexual crime. Among his allegations are rape, aggravated sexual contact, and sexual assault. He may be sent to prison for life and given a dishonorable discharge from the Air Force for his actions. He is currently undergoing a trial in a Texas court. 10 female recruits have stood up against Walker, claiming that he assaulted and offended them sexually. Though only 10 have offered to speak against Walker, 31 women at the base have come forth to explain sexually inappropriate behavior from the trainers that they worked with. Walker’s case is considered the “cornerstone” of a long and winding problem.
While sources say that sexual misconduct grew rampant on the base as early as 2009, women just recently came forward to admit their situation. Often, these women feel ashamed and afraid to confess what has happened to them. If you have been raped or sexually abused in any way, then your offender should be forced to pay you damages. By filing a personal injury lawsuit, you can obtain damages for your pain and suffering as a result of someone else’s heartless choice. You can also choose whether or not you would like to press criminal charges for sex crimes.
